Applications are open for Python Worldbuilding, the next Cambridge Data School, taking place online this January. All applications must be received by the final deadline of 26 November 2026.
At this School, participants will learn the most fundamental aspects of coding in Python through practice, building towards the capacity to analyse and communicate with datasets that matter to them, while grasping how code encodes power structures and biases, including through Python Social Network Analysis.
The course consists of coding sessions at a beginner level and workshops led by practitioners, researchers, and investigators based at the University of Cambridge and internationally, which will offer speculative and material understandings of how our choices as developers and designers have an impact beyond questions of ‘usability’.
