Computational Biologist (in Drug Discovery) (Fixed Term)

C.I.M.R. Division of Translational Medicine

The charity Alzheimer's Research UK has funded the formation of a research informatics team to work across the three drug discovery institutes within its Drug Discovery Alliance (DDA). This creates a unique opportunity for three research Informaticians to join a vibrant consortium of translational neuroscience teams in the UK's life-science 'golden triangle' that encompasses the Alzheimer's research UK's drug discovery institutes (DDIs) (https://www.alzheimersresearchuk.org/about-us/how-we-do-it/big-initiatives/drug-discovery-alliance/) at the universities of Oxford, Cambridge and UCL, and also the EBI's Open Targets team (www.opentargets.org). The team's purpose is to unlock the potential of the vast data deposits now accumulating in the life-sciences, in pursuit of our overall goal to find new treatments for neurodegenerative diseases (eg. Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and tauopathies).
