The Impulse Programme (University of Cambridge, Maxwell Centre) supports tech researchers who want to explore the commercial potential of their brilliant ideas — including those working in disciplines not traditionally associated with start-ups, but where innovative applications and translational opportunities exist.

The part-time programme runs 28 April – 10 July 2026 and is open to PhDs, postdocs and researchers across science, technology, engineering, and life sciences, including very early-stage ideas.
