Research Assistant/Associate in Computational Biology/Immunology (Fixed Term)
Closing date

Department of Pathology

Fixed-term: The post is available for two years in the first instance starting 20 January 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter and subject to a 6-month probationary period.

We are looking for a postdoctoral scientist to join Prof Christina Zielinski's group to work in the field human systems immunology. Using multi-modal single-cell data sets from unique patient cohorts, and high-dimensional flow cytometry, the candidate of the ERC-funded project ORGANise-T will have the opportunity to investigate the rules that govern the body-wide compartmentalization of human T cell immunity, its function and regulation at the single-cell level in health and disease with computational methods. Overall, the project's goal will be to establish first-of-its-kind insights into the spatio-temporal dynamic organisation of human T cell immunity in tissues. This will bring the next generation of immunotherapies to the level of tissue specificity.

The post is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic immunologist with computational experience and/or a computational biologist/bioinformatician with an aptitude for semi-independent work, which is well supported by a dynamic team and multiple collaborations. The candidate will mainly perform computational analyses but will also have the opportunity to generate bioinformatic data sets experimentally.
