The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) plans to appoint a Research Professor (Grade 11) to support the Centre's activities. This is a part-time position at 0.6 FTE for a period of one year to provide temporary cover, to start on the 01 January 2026.
The post is offered to internal candidates only on the basis of a secondment from their current role in the University. The appointee will also act as the Centre's Executive Director while the Academic Director, serves as co-Director of the Institute for Technology and Humanity (ITH).
The purpose of the Executive Director role is to provide leadership for the CFI, with the aim of advancing, supporting and maintaining the University's national and international reputation for excellence in research and teaching.
The appointee will also play a key role in overseeing the core activities of the Centre, such as external networking, fundraising, collaborations, conferences and the Centre's growing portfolio of teaching programmes. In all of these roles, they will work closely with the Associate Director for Education, Associate Director for Research Culture and Partnerships, and the Centres Programme Directors, as well as with the leaders of the Spokes (Imperial and UC Berkeley), and the Co-Directors of the Institute for Technology and Humanity.
