Postdoctoral Research Associate (Part Time, Fixed Term)

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher to take up an appointment from February 2023 for a period of 5 months in the first instance. This is a fixed-term, part-time (0.5FTE) position for internal candidates.

Based in the Department of Architecture, the Researcher will be working on a continuation of the Excising Infection in the Surgical Environment (ExISE) project. Funding has been granted by the THIS Institute.

This varied role will require the Researcher to prepare both quantitative and qualitative data, and curate and analyse narrative transcripts generated from interviews. In addition to creating the final research report, the Researcher will liaise with stakeholders at all levels, lead project tasks and consortium meetings, and contribute to the planning of projects led by the Principal Investigator.

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will have a PhD in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or Psychology, with a focus on either data science, or machine-learning.

Excellent written communication and presentation skills are required for this role, and experience will include research with sufficient breadth/depth in one of more of the areas above, and programming in object-oriented languages.
