Department of Clinical Neurosciences
We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to join the Ryten Group at the UK Dementia Research Institute at the University of Cambridge. This fixed-term post will support computational research investigating RNA processing mechanisms in Parkinson's disease and related neurodegenerative disorders.
The successful candidate will contribute to the analysis of large-scale transcriptomic datasets, with a particular focus on single-cell and bulk RNA-sequencing data, and will support development of reproducible computational workflows for investigating disease-associated changes in RNA processing. The role offers an opportunity to gain intensive training in computational neurogenomics within a collaborative translational research environment.
This is a University of Cambridge staff position which permits the post-holder to undertake postgraduate study at the University, subject to meeting eligibility criteria for admission and relevant staff bursary schemes. Candidates should normally hold, or expect to obtain by the time they take up the post, a first or upper second class honours degree in a relevant discipline and have experience in computational analysis of biological data.
