A Research Associate (postdoc) in AI and Neuroinformatics is available to work with Prof Zoe Kourtzi (Adaptive Brain Lab, University of Cambridge; https://www.abg.psychol.cam.ac.uk) and Prof Eleni Vasilaki (University of Sheffield, School of Computer Science).

Are you passionate about uncovering the brain mechanisms that support adaptive behaviour and building AI tools for early prediction and personalised interventions for brain and mental health disorders? Join our cross-disciplinary team at the forefront of neuroscience and computational science.

The position focuses on developing AI models to synthesise and analyse diverse datasets including brain imaging, genetics, proteomics, cognitive data, and medical records, aiming to co-create practical tools deployable in real-world clinical settings.

This work is central to a multidisciplinary collaboration bringing together experts in neuroscience, machine learning, and clinical informatics, with healthcare innovation and pharmaceutical industry partners. Our research on early prediction of dementia (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-57934589) has the potential to deliver significant applications in clinical practice.

You will need to have a PhD with evidence of research excellence in a relevant discipline including: Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, Biostatistics, Neuroscience, Medicine.
