Special Interest Groups (SIG)

Economic and Data Science SIG

The Economic and Data Science SIG is part of the Cambridge Big Data Strategic Research Initiative (CBD).

It was inspired through the talk of Jonathan Shaw on the HSBC and Alan Turing Institute collaboration, at the Cavendish Laboratory in 2017.

We aim to watch events and follow techniques.  So as to contribute to interdisciplinary research and advancement of the science within the University.  And within Cambridge more broadly.  Perhaps aiming, also, for some original research outputs.

Professor Vasco Carvalho (Faculty of Economics) is the Academic Chair of this Special Interest Group, and Mr Mark Reader (Land Economy) is the organiser.

To register your interest in joining the Economic and Data Science SIG, first ensure you are registered as a member of Cambridge Big Data and logged in to the website, then complete the registration form.
