The Alan Turing Institute

The Alan Turing Institute is pleased to announce a new funding call for the Skills Policy Awards 2023-24. The awards offer individuals the opportunity to gain valuable policy experience, develop their professional networks and deliver an impactful project benefitting the UK’s data skills policy landscape. 

Why Apply 

Awardees will be supported to develop their own research proposal addressing specific challenges faced in the UK’s data skills policy landscape, and engage national skills stakeholders including academia, government, industry, and the not-for-profit sector. 

Who Should Apply  

This scheme is open to all individuals who are part of a UK university or research institute. Awards of £41,000 - £65,000 are available to cover the costs associated with the proposal. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals with a background in data science education who wish to increase their experience with skills policy and expand their knowledge of policy formation. Successful awardees must be able to commit to a project delivery of February 2023 – March 2024.
